Abstract

I. The release of GMOs into the environment would improve food supplies and benefit pollution control but in view of the potential risks the public should be fully aquainted with all aspects of the problem. II. Describes a report produced by the WHO, which analyses the ways in which human needs and activities affect the environment. III. Summarizes an article describing a concept for an international network of municipalities which are dedicated to an ecosystems approach to municipal management.
