Considers the adoption of new technology, the problem of obsolescence, ways of identifying relevant changes, technological scanning systems, and in‐house technology development services. Summarizes that technology must be harnessed in a positive manner through a formalized scanning and development process if the organization is to recognize the technological changes that can offer productivity improvement.
