Abstract

Believes that sponsorship can be a source of income for libraries and notes that the Office of Arts and Libraries is keen to assess its potential. Explains that a marketing and PR firm has been recently commissioned to research sponsorship in libraries. Concludes that while sponsorship clearly offers the potential of generating additional income it will never be the sole or even major part of library funding.
