AB  - Developing new and more efficient information technology affects
the organisation of facilities management by improving the ability to
co‐ordinate, to inspect and to translate. Using Swedish examples,
decentralisation and the links to users are discussed. The implications
of common databases as well as three types of integration – of
process stages, of technical specialities and of technical with
information system design are also seen in the light of improved
information technology.
