Dr Alfred Keller, Founding Editor of Disaster Prevention and Management (DPM) and International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management (IJQRM), sadly passed away on 4 July 2014, aged 89.
Dr Keller worked with Emerald to launch DPM in 1992, while he was a Reader at the University of Bradford and Director of the Disaster Prevention and Limitation Unit. Now in its 24th volume, DPM has established itself as a leading publication in the field of Disaster Risk Management (DRM). The extensive contribution made by Dr Keller and his co-editor at the time, Dr H.C. Wilson, played a pivotal role in laying the foundations and driving the success of the journal for the DRM community.
