Abstract

Purpose

Aims to develop a typology of employee attitudes toward the introduction of externally sourced management innovations.

Design/methodology/approach

Draws on reflection upon personal experience and conceptual reasoning to develop the innoterms typology.

Findings

This paper suggests that addressing innoterms is integral to the successful implementation of externally sourced management innovations.

Originality/value

This paper provides a valuable framework for decision-makers to consider before the implementation of management innovations.
