Theoretical electrical engineering (ISTET 2019) of COMPEL

This special issue “Theoretical Electrical Engineering (ISTET 2019) of COMPEL” contains a number of selected papers of the XX edition of the International Symposium on Theoretical Electrical Engineering (ISTET) that took place at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, from 21st to 24th July 2019 in the frames of the Days of Science of the Technical University of Sofia, 2019.

The ISTET Symposium was founded by three outstanding experts in Theoretical Electrical Engineering: Prof. Oldrych Benda, Bratislava, Prof. Eugen Philippow, Ilmenau and Prof. Kamo S. Demirtchyan, Moscow, in 1978 in Smolenice near Bratislava. The first symposium took place in 1981 in Bratislava and has been followed by conferences held in various parts of Europe. It is traditionally devoted to research and education in theory and applications of electromagnetic fields, electrical and electronic circuits and systems as well as signal processing, design and control of electromagnetic devices and others.

The accepted papers of ISTET19 are selected by a peer-review procedure by two independent reviewers and cover the scientific areas of ISTET. At the same time, the Special Issue is enriched with a few papers, which are related to the scientific scope of ISTET conferences.

The guest editors want to thank the Special Issue contributors and COMPEL editorial team for their support.
