On coming to ADFA

Article Type: Literature and insights From: Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Volume 28, Issue 3.

They were hiding in the corners

Just like kids playing hide and seek

But the guns weren’t plastic

They were all khaki normal

Lined up straight and marching en masse

Calls of sir and sharp salute

Yet from my window

I saw the lines not quite straight

The funny-hat parade and wobbles after night-out

They were not the same, yet not so different

And I was safe and protected

In my khaki padded heaven
