Abstract

This chapter explores the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in design thinking and project management within interdisciplinary education. The chapter highlights the rationale, design, and implementation of an undergraduate course. The course empowers students to utilise GenAI for generating ideas, creating personas, and prototyping solutions, and the design emphasises project-based learning (PjBL), peer learning, and flipped classroom approaches. Based on the reflection by the instructor and student feedback, this chapter provides valuable insights for educators and institutions aiming to incorporate GenAI into their curricula. The initiative not only enhances students’ understanding of interdisciplinary projects but also prepares them to navigate the evolving landscape of AI in professional settings.
