AB  - Purpose– Seeks to provide critical reflections on George Ritzer's globalization analysis.Design/methodology/approach– Draws on a critical reading of Ritzer's work, in particular, his most recent book The Globalization of Nothing.Findings– Highlights Ritzer's neglect of the dialectic of production and consumption, a dialectic that the author views as central to globalization.Originality/value– The contributions and limitations of Ritzer's book are identified and discussed.
