Abstract

The pilot study described here is part of a domestic elder abuse detection project developed by a social services team in Madrid. The project's fundamental objective is to validate a scale for detecting domestic abuse and self‐neglect that can be used by social workers. A pilot study with a sample of 34 elders was conducted to determine the detection scale's response format and contents.
