AB  - In relation to professional practice statutory regulation can form a key element in preventing the abuse of vulnerable adults. Here the role of the UK's regulatory body for nurses, midwives and health visitors is examined, with recent statistics showing that abuse of vulnerable adults is the foremost reason for professional de‐registration.
