Abstract

This article is the fourth in a series that analyses the constantly changing structure of the TMT sector. It covers the period 28 March 2002 to 28 March 2003. Prior to March 2002, the sector had already spent two years in the doldrums, and this update reveals that the overall trend continued to be broadly negative during the ensuing year, partly driven by the implosions at the likes of WorldCom. However, there are signs that the worst is now over and that, albeit slowly, the sector will be in better shape by the end of the year.
