The impact of emotion on creativity in organizations
Abstract
Describes the impact of individuals on organizations, specifically, how a person’s emotional state influences the workplace. Uses two case studies to demonstrate how an emotionally healthy person has a positive impact on empowerment and creativity, and how an emotionally negative person impedes creativity and disempowers others. Stresses the importance of attention to the affective dimension of employees’ lives as a factor in empowerment and creativity.
