TY - JOUR AB - Corporate real estate (CRE) refers to the land and buildings owned by companies not primarily in the real estate business. Given a large concentration of corporate wealth in real estate and that management is committed to increasing shareholders’ wealth, this paper identifies and discusses three major issues regarding the authors’ understanding of strategic CRE analysis and management from the perspectives of end‐users, corporate finance and capital markets. The paper reviews recent studies and evidence related to these questions and considers future research that promises to be challenging and fruitful.
