Writing the ‘User Chapter’
Abstract
Increasingly users of mental health services are asked to give up their time to represent the ‘user perspective’. Whether this is an opportunity or an imposition is debatable ‐ it can be daunting and at the same time exhilarating. It can also get you into a situation where you feel trapped and in need of good counsel. This important contribution with its guidelines for good practice, came with a request for anonymity, which we have respected. If anyone wants to contact the author, then you should write to the Editor (me) and I will pass it on.
