Abstract

When approaches to the treatment of mental health involve non‐medical methods in this country they are often labelled as ‘fringe’ or some other derogatory term. What we in the ‘mainstream’ sometimes forget is that many UK citizens come from cultures which have used their spiritual traditions and values to develop holistic treatment methods which have been tried and tested for many centuries while we have been locking people up. Life in the Day aims to feature regularly projects like QALB, which are sensitive to the needs and traditions of the many cultures which make up our nation. If you know anyone who would like to contribute, please contact the editor.
