A Petri‐Net‐based machine tool failure diagnosis system

Abstract

Describes the ongoing development of a Petri‐Net‐based machine tool failure diagnosis system. The described system incorporates condition monitoring systems and expert system‐based diagnostic tools. Brings these together with the Petri‐Net monitoring system to form an integrated fault location and rectification package and an associated maintenance management system.
