Abstract

What causes high‐level corporate executives to leave unexpectedly? Is it personality or politics? This article explores the behaviors that shape genuine and counterfeit leadership and explains the role these factors play in human capital flight. A new conceptual framework, Mind OS 1, Version 1.0, introduces behavioral circles that build on the wants and needs of leaders and identify optimal and dysfunctional behaviors. Key linkages to the Myers‐Briggs type indicator (MBTI) are illustrated.
