Abstract

Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to describe important considerations for commercial ERMS implementers.

Design/methodology/approach

The paper outlines six areas that are critical to successful ERMS implementation.

Findings

The paper finds that, although each of the six areas is important to consider, prior to ERMS implementation, staffing and workflows require the most forethought.

Originality/value

Early‐stage ERMS implementers, and those preparing for implementation, should find value in the suggestions described within the paper.
