Abstract

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to provide an interview with Joanne Sellwood‐Taylor and Sharon Mullen of Mullwood Partnership.

Design/methodology/approach

The paper provides an interview with Joanne Sellwood‐Taylor and Sharon Mullen of Mullwood Partnership.

Findings

The research carried out by Mullwood Partnership leads them to suggest that senior human resource (HR) professionals may be ideally situated to become the next generation of CEOs.

Originality/value

The interview offers advice for HR professionals who aspire to progress into wider functional roles.
