NVQs: the impact of competence approaches
Abstract
National/Scottish Vocational Qualifications (N/SVQs) are rapidly becoming the foundation of Britain′s qualifications and infrastructure. Explores the impact of their competence‐based approach from an individual and organizational perspective. Compares and contrasts a traditional course‐driven examination approach, to one of individual development and assessment of performance in the workplace.
