Managerial work is linked with the culture, strategies and managerial divisions of labour in hotels. The aim is to show how managerial work is critically influenced by the culture and strategies of the company through the process of socialisation and how certain strategies direct managers into specific roles such as those of entrepreneur, cost controller, marketer and service controller.
