Warrington: A Star in the World of Caring for Staff
Abstract
Describes a staff acquisition and retention initiative launched by Warrington District General Hospital in 1989. Details the benefits staff now receive, including free medicals, chiropody, eye testing, a crèche, hairdresser, general shop and welfare officer. Staff turnover has dropped because of the package, which has enhanced the employment offered by the hospital.
