AB  - Presents a case history of the development of the automated assessment tool (AAT) at the US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratories (CERL). Describes how CERL, applying quality management principles, uses the AAT to gather information about people’s perceptions of an organization’s strengths and weaknesses in quality leadership, planning, resource application, customer care and organizational performance. Shows how such assessments also enhance employees’ knowledge of quality, and their personal integration and involvement in the organization.
