Abstract

Having failed with one TQ initiative, a container manufacturer realized that, to remain competitive, the implementation of quality improvements was essential. This programme was undertaken through the Teaching Company Scheme. The results of this waste reduction programme show the importance of communication, adequate finance, measurement, blueprinting and systems.
