Teacher Mobility in Europe

Abstract

Summarizes the implications of teacher recruitment in the light of the EC Directive 89/48, which provides a framework for the recognition of professional qualifications, in the single market objective of the free movement of persons. Points to the difficulties of integration and the need for effective programmes, following on from effective and carefully planned interview and induction of candidates.
