Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review problems related to Internet, trademark, and domain name issues. The paper was developed by studying recent legal developments and drawing from empirical research and professional problem solving. A major aim of the paper is to identify solutions to these issues, both preventive and following a theft or other violation of rights. The paper also includes techniques for making violations by “cyber pirates” harder to commit. Businesses of all kinds will benefit by learning the most up‐to‐date dangers of Internet trademark crime and what to do about them.
