Abstract

Purpose

The purpose of this column is to provide suggestions for recognizing library achievements, and is so doing reinforce donor support.

Design/methodology/approach

The column discusses and gives examples of observances to mark accomplishments.

Findings

It is suggested that marking accomplishments with appropriate internal and external recognition is essential to a fundraising operation.

Originality/value

The value of this paper is in its presentation of examples and strategies for promoting achievements.
