Abstract

Bidding for additional funds for your organisation can be both a daunting experience and an exciting challenge. This article offers a few principles for fundraising which have been gained through practice and the help received from others. It includes some “how to do it” tips which may serve well in practical situations. Before bidding for a real project or need, it also suggests that an exercise on preparing a hypothetical bid, perhaps with some colleagues as a staff development session, be carried out.
