Moving your Advisory Board to a fundraising mission
Abstract
Having unsuccessfully attempted to garner community support, awareness and funding in the past, the University Library at the Indiana University‐Purdue University Indianapolis decided to partner with the University Library Advisory Board. The board was charged with transforming itself into a more active participant in the libraries success. Renaming itself as the University Library Community Board, it redefined its role as a support organization that would help define the library for the greater Indiana community, and help the library raise funds.
