Dealing with death of an employee

Abstract

Purpose

The death of a staff member can have an effect on all members of the library team. The purpose of the paper is to suggest how a supervisor should deal with the situation.

Design/methodology/approach

The paper provides real life scenarios based on the author's experiences.

Findings

The paper suggests ways on how to cope with the death of an employee.

Originality/value

No one expects to deal with the death of an employee but one should know how to deal with it should it occur.
