TY - JOUR AB - The impact of Information Technology on the management of the National Health Service is reviewed and the view put forward that: (1) current training programmes are inadequate; (2) there is resistance to be found in some management quarters to information technology itself, the technology which underpins it and the “new” management systems which will utilise this information. Positive action is required now if these issues are to be addressed and inertia eliminated.
