Abstract

Argues that the majority of facilities managers are not supported adequately in their roles of analyst, adviser and educator. The new breed of facilities manager who works at the interface between an organization′s core and its workplace infrastructure needs a new form of performance knowledge. Organizations which can provide this will have a competitive advantage over those which cannot.
