Abstract

The winner of the Existing Buildings category in the Office of the Year Competition is discussed. Shows that relocation of the British Council to Manchester has provided attractive and useful accommodation for up to 700 staff. The “village” theme of the office block is just one of its easy‐on‐the‐eye but functional assets.
