The interactive process required to provide reasonable accommodation of disabilities under the ADA
Abstract
Outlines the requirements of the US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 1992. Provides recommended models for companies to implement and compares this to the practices used by Boeing. Suggests it is the larger company who will find it more difficult to claim undue hardship based on the company resources but states that, at present, the employer appears to be favoured in the courts.
