TY - JOUR AB - Ride‐height, perhaps more than any other single variable of racecar set‐up, has a critical effect on the performance of modern flat‐bottom and ground‐effect single‐seaters. It is also a difficult thing to measure ‐ unless, of course, the car is stationary. Precise and reliable measurement of dynamic ride‐heights has become something of a Holy Grail for those in the data acquisition business, but recent developments from Pi Research have shown that, unlike the mythical goblet, this is not an unattainable goal.
