Abstract

Imagine the setting. You’re dealing with an important client and you must quickly access specific information in order to meet their immediate needs. But you don’t know where to find this information. Where do you look? Who do you ask? Some will undoubtedly quiver at a scenario that bears the hallmarks of an impending disaster. How can it be averted? How can you ensure that your people have the information that will enable them to do their job properly? With effective knowledge management (KM) that can go a long way to ensuring that your organization is making the most of the skills, expertise and relationships at its disposal. In fact, sustaining your hard earned competitive advantage may well depend on it.
