Modular automation beats the recession
Abstract
Reports on the success of the Modular Automation Company. Gives a brief history of the company and explains that some of the reasons for its continuing success is thought to be the project management system introduced in 1991 and the design procedure‐framed by three meetings—a concept meeting, a design meeting and a final pass‐off meeting—which ensures that the designs are achieving what is required of them. Looks a some of the projects Modular Automation has been involved in including the development of a horn push membrane switch for the US automotive industry and an automatic assembly machine to handle ribbon cable.
