TY - JOUR AB - In recent years many developing and developed countries have focused attention on the training of their managers. Based on a questionnaire survey, evaluates for the first time the extent of management training in India and skills emphasis. Also reassesses other dimensions such as training methods, training policy and assessment methods. The findings suggest that the extent of management training in India is low and there are structural differences between organizations that provide training to their managers and those which do not.
