WHAT DO PEOPLE WANT FROM A LIBRARY?

Abstract

Discusses physical and psychological barriers to library use, including access, inadequate guiding, noise level, classification and cataloguing systems and staff attitudes. Libraries need to play a more proactive role in encouraging members and potential members to makc fuller and better use of their services.
