Writing for publication: the first steps
Abstract
Seeks to encourage new academics to publish further research after they have completed their Masters or doctorate qualification. Considers the reasons in favour of further publication, avenues for publication and the subject of intellectual ownership. Discusses the various types of publication and the varying methods of approaching each market. Urges that publication should not be seen as an isolated activity but as an avenue for participation in the wider academic community.
