Abstract

Knowledge management is one of the latest management buzzwords. Discusses the concepts underlying knowledge management and stresses the importance of the underlying culture of an organisation in building effective knowledge management systems. Technology used to build knowledge management systems can be very simple: the real issues lie in persuading people to give up their knowledge to a central repository, and in building a culture in which that knowledge can be effectively exploited.
