Using information technology to facilitate organisational change

Abstract

This paper considers the organisation as an open system and suggests ways in which systems theory may be used to generate thought about the relationships between the environment in which an organisation operates, the structure of the organisation which is appropriate for that environment and the technology required to support that structure.
