Productivity, especially in the construction industry, has always been very difficult to measure and control. All estimating professionals would agree that the quantity of work to be performed and the cost per hour for labour to perform that work can be established with considerable accuracy. However, it is the identifying and evaluating of the critical factors which influence productivity that provides a challenge. Every error in productivity estimation causes an inverse effect in the actual cost of labour to perform a scope of work.
