Making work play
Abstract
Reviews some thoughts on creative play, for both children and adults, and suggests how we can effectively change the work environment so that we play more. Notes that adding play can stimulate creativity, growth, challenge and personal development while maintaining a motivated and productive organization. Discusses management′s role in encouraging fun in the organization, most importantly the commitment to make the workplace an enjoyable place to be. Finally considers the employees′ roles and their personal responsibility for generating satisfaction.
