New Technologies in Education and Training: An Overview
Abstract
An overview of information technology (IT) in education and training. Discusses what educators have learned and the issues facing them including: the location and pace of learning; the need for more support and guidance for teachers and learners; developments such as CD‐ROM and interactive video; equality of opportunity and access to new technologies. Examines the role of the National Council for Educational Technology (NCET) in spreading the use of IT in education and training.
