Opportunities in science, design and technology, home economics, citizenship, and personal, social and health education are highlighted. It is concluded that food and nutrition have a valuable contribution to make in a curriculum which is relevant to the twenty‐first century, encourages creativity and innovation, develops informed consumers and promotes good health.
