Abstract
This paper summarises the results of a systematic review and meta‐analysis of the effectiveness of anti‐bullying programmes in schools. Extensive searches were carried out in 18 databases and in 35 journals. The number of reports on anti‐bullying programmes increased considerably over time. Nearly 600 reports were found, but only 59 of these (describing evaluations of 30 different programmes) were eligible for inclusion in our review because they described a high‐quality evaluation. We coded the elements of the intervention in these programmes and key features of the evaluation and related these to the effects of the intervention. These types of figures have never been presented in any previous systematic review or meta‐analysis of anti‐bullying programmes. Our meta‐analysis showed that school‐based anti‐bullying programmes are effective in reducing bullying and victimisation (being bullied), which were reduced by about 20‐23% in experimental schools, compared with control schools. The most important programme components that were associated with a decrease in bullying were parent training, improved playground supervision, disciplinary methods, school conferences, videos, information for parents, work with peers, classroom rules and classroom management.

Abstract
Since its introduction by Chari, Kehoe, and McGrattan (2007), Business Cycle Accounting (BCA) exercises have become widespread. Much attention has been devoted to the results of such exercises and to methodological departures from the baseline methodology. Little attention has been paid to identification issues within these classes of models. In this chapter, the authors investigate whether such issues are of concern in the original methodology and in an extension proposed by Šustek (2011) called Monetary Business Cycle Accounting. The authors resort to two types of identification tests in population. One concerns strict identification as theorized by Komunjer and Ng (2011) while the other deals both with strict and weak identification as in Iskrev (2010). Most importantly, the authors explore the extent to which these weak identification problems affect the main economic takeaways and find that the identification deficiencies are not relevant for the standard BCA model. Finally, the authors compute some statistics of interest to practitioners of the BCA methodology.

Abstract
This study sought to further develop the growing body of qualitative evidence exploring the content, duration and triggers of cognitive distortions and deviant sexual fantasies in perpetrators who offend against adult women, using grounded theory techniques. Detailed accounts of the thoughts and fantasies of 10 rapists pre‐ and post‐intervention were analysed. All participants reported having benefited from the programme. Nine participants reported that the victim‐focused work had the most impact on them. It was also found that after treatment: (a) there was a reduction in the level of cognitive distortions around victim blaming, other justifications for offending (such as alcohol use) and the acknowledgment of the impact that their offences has had upon their victims; (b) reductions in denial of fantasising about the offences prior to their offences. The implications of this study, for the improvement of intervention programmes for this group of offenders, are discussed.

Abstract
The objective of this study is to present a successful strategy to promote Korea as the logistics hub of Northeast Asia. Firstly, we introduce the necessity of a logistic hub strategy for Korea. In order to develop a successful strategy, we consider the 'free trade zone' model of the Netherlands and China. We develop a realistic and suitable model for Korea based on this Jree trade zone' model. Our proposal for a successful logistic hub strategy for Korea is the fulfillment of the following six objectives: 1) security of market accessibility, 2) improvement of the logistic system, 3) improvement of the education system, 4) improvement of the tax system, 5) assurance of labor market flexibility, and 6) development of an appealing living environment for foreigners.

Abstract
This paper applies a recently developed method of ranking socioeconomic inequality in health to ranking U.S. happiness from 1994 to 2012 using the GSS data. We also compare happiness between subgroups as decomposed by gender, race, and age. We establish and test a monotone condition of happiness – a richer person is likely to be happier. Under the monotone condition, standard tools of welfare and inequality ranking can be applied straightforwardly.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to facilitate the engineering technical personnel to easily choose the appropriate vibration analysis model in the design of symmetry composite sandwich structure with composite face layers and viscoelastic core. Therefore, the applicable condition of two linear vibration models was obtained by considering the vibration analysis of three-layered sandwich structures.
Design/methodology/approach
Equilibrium equations of three kinds of vibration models were deduced using Hamilton’s principle and were solved using the closed-form Navier solution. Then, numerical results were compared with those reported in the literature to verify the accuracy of the deduced calculating formulas.
Findings
The applicable conditions of two linear vibration models are obtained by examining the influence of the ratio of length to total thickness (q) and that of viscoelastic thickness to total thickness (c) on the solutions. Two cases are considered about the applicable conditions of two linear vibration models based on the error analysis.
Originality/value
The paper obtains the application conditions of two linear vibration models by using error analysis for the first time and provides the reference for engineering staff to easily choose a suitable vibration model to design a symmetry composite sandwich plate.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to deal with the three-dimensional analysis of free vibrations in a stress-free and rigidly fixed homogeneous transversely isotropic hollow cylinder in the context of three-phase-lag (TPL) model of hyperbolic thermoelasticity.
Design/methodology/approach
The matrix Frobenius method of extended power series is employed to obtain the solution of coupled ordinary differential equations along the radial coordinate.
Findings
The natural frequency, dissipation factor and inverse quality factor in the stress-free and rigidly fixed hollow cylinder get significantly affected due to thermal vibrations and thermo-mechanical coupling.
Originality/value
The modified Bessel functions and matrix Frobenius method have been directly used to study the vibration model of a homogeneous, transversely isotropic hollow cylinder in the context of TPL model based on three-dimensional thermoelasticity.

Abstract
We examine whether individual differences exist in reactions to toxic situations, reviewing historical examples of massacres. The social psychological research on the question consists of the famous Milgram experiment on obedience and the Stanford Prison Experiment. Although these studies show the power of situations in eliciting aggression towards targets, they overlook an essential aspect of real world behaviours ‐ the innovation of imaginative sadistic sequences that go beyond the orders given. We argue that analogue studies are too limited to capture these situations and that social psychological research has been too limited in its assessment of key relevant individual traits, one of which is a potential for sadism. Furthermore, we raise concerns about whether ‘snapshot’ analogue research can capture the transitional processes central to an understanding of real world reactions to toxicity.

Purpose
The main aim of this paper is to use the cubic B‐spline scaling functions for the numerical solution of the 1D parabolic inverse problem with temperature overspecification.
Design/methodology/approach
A 1D parabolic partial differential equation with given initial condition and known boundary conditions and subject to overspecification at a point in the spatial domain is solved using the cubic B‐spline scaling functions.
Findings
In this paper, a numerical technique is developed for solving an inverse parabolic problem.
Practical implications
The scheme described is efficient. The numerical results obtained using the new algorithm for a test problem show that the new method can solve the model effectively.
Originality/value
The problem investigated in this research has already been studied by several authors. However, to the best of one's knowledge this is the first time that the new approach has been employed to solve the given model.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to explore numerical scrutinization of micropolar and Walters-B non-Newtonian fluids motion under the influence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction.
Design/methodology/approach
The two fluids micropolar and Walters-B liquid are considered to start flowing from the slot to the stretching sheet. A magnetic field of constant strength is imposed on their flow transversely. The problems on heat and mass transport are set up with thermal, chemical reaction, heat generation, etc. to form partial differential equations. These equations were simplified into a dimensionless form and solved using spectral homotopy analysis method (SHAM). SHAM uses the basic concept of both Chebyshev pseudospectral method and homotopy analysis method to obtain numerical computations of the problem.
Findings
The outcomes for encountered flow parameters for temperature, velocity and concentration are presented with the aid of figures. It is observed that both the velocity and angular velocity of micropolar and Walters-B and thermal boundary layers increase with increase in the thermal radiation parameter. The decrease in velocity and decrease in angular velocity occurred are a result of increase in chemical reaction. It is hoped that the present study will enhance the understanding of boundary layer flow of micropolar and Walters-B non-Newtonian fluid under the influences of thermal radiation, thermal conductivity and chemical reaction as applied in various engineering processes.
Originality/value
All results are presented graphically and all physical quantities are computed and tabulated.
